PngCon is a small, nifty program that can convert png images of any size to either a 32 x 32, 64 x 64 or 128 x 128 Icon whilst keeping the alpha channel in tact. The program has a simple 3 step way of making the icons; first browse for your icon, then select a size, and finally, hit the convert button and your icon is produced! You can use PNGs that don't have an alpha channel too, which allows users of all graphical skill levels to create their icons, whether you make them in paint or in a professional graphics program like fireworks.
